The Indoor Testbed is conducted on the basis of "entries." An entry consists of a technology component, system, platform or complete solution that contributes to or provides indoor positioning or navigation, or both.
Entries will have at least a user terminal. Many entries will be composed of a user terminal used in combination with an infrastructure component (beacons, maps, etc).
An entry's user terminal must run on one or more of three smartphone operating systems: iOS, Android, Windows Mobile.
The entry may be in prototype stage, pre-commercial or commercial.
Participating Entity
Each Indoor Testbed "entry" must be submitted by a qualified "participating entity." And any participating entity can have one or more entries. The opportunity to participate in the first testbed is limited to a maximum of ten entities that design hardware and/or software components or complete solutions for indoor positioning and navigation of people using smartphones or similar mobile devices, who expect to deliver commercial solutions in 2013 or earlier. We will require payment of the participation fee at the time of registration to confirm the entries.
This form is designed to qualify any participating entity prior to submission of entries.
