Numerous standards for graphics, location, hardware control/interfaces and other domains important to AR implementers are already available. A page on this portal lists the existing international standards.
As Augmented Reality becomes more clearly a need for many applications, and the demand for open and interoperable content grows, the following Standards Development Organizations (SDOs) have initiated new activities in which AR is a use case, directly or indirectly.
On this page, we provide pointers to the Web resources most appropriate, where available for public consultations.
The progress and status of these activities is the subject of sessions during the AR Community meetings.
