The community of people seeking to advance work towards open and interoperable AR met on October 6 and 7, 2015 in Seoul, Korea.

You can review the agenda and the presentations by visiting this page.

Meeting Goals

The face-to-face community meetings are designed to promote discussion among ecosystem stakeholders for the development of open and interoperable AR content and experiences.

In community-defined and led sessions, our goals are to:

  • Discover new barriers to interoperability and discuss strategies to minimize their impacts
  • Learn of continuing and newly initiated activities relevant to open and interoperable AR
  • Discuss emerging challenges which may be addressed via standards or open source interfaces
  • Plan for the community’s future by reviewing existing activities, chartering new work and scheduling meetings

Augmented Reality developers participating in the community are on the front lines to learn about and influence the direction of new tools.  Developers encountering obstacles to audience reach and end user adoption as a result of proprietary technology silos are encouraged to attend to learn about the open specifications and APIs under development, and to provide their opinions.

All community members are invited to suggest topics for the agenda.
